TimP,

Wow when I read your story I was struck by how similar our stories are. All the way down to the name. Although I live in Georgia now I was born and raised on the Southside of Pittsburgh. The dates are very similar too, I started my treatment 2 years ago next week.

This OCF site and the many folks here made my journey through treatment much smoother. I have spoken to Drs that were amazed at how well I managed the side effects and I always take the opputunity to advertise for OCF. There is an answer to all your ?'s or an ear to hear your concerns.

Are you getting treatment at UPMC?

Go Steelers

Tim,

So sorry you are having to go thru this ,,, As a donator to St Judes, I learned long before my recent diagnosis that life and cancer don't play fair (or nice). Always kills me to read stories of these lil babies and children fighting this dreaded disease... my mind can only say why them>?

I pray that your treatment will be swift, effective, and have little ill effects.

Having just had my surgery 8 days ago I am still in the middle of the game myself and wondering what to expect with coming radiation in 6 weeks etc ... but I am trying to leave the future to the future and enjoy today! Please try to do the same and remember we are all here for support if you need a friend.

You are in my prayers. Stay in touch.
