She has had chemotherapy (Carbo and then mito... (very tired right now). The Carbo stopped working and while on the second chemo, she developed liver disease and she was put on palliative care. The tumor is growing rapidly and ulcerating. Is there anything that I could put on the ulcerated areas to give her pain relief? It is getting very difficult for her to eat and my heart is breaking for her but I don't think she is quite ready to be euthanized yet.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

When I get to the point that I am in constant unrelieved pain, and there is no hope of recovery, I hope to move on. My wife is well aware of my desires so that no one will keep me around thinking that they know what is best for me. I have lost two dogs in my lifetime that were my constant companions and probably the only unconditional love you ever get in life. They loved me without end even when I was an ass. Being the decision maker in their end was one the least desireable things I have ever had to do.
Having just done that soap box talk, the answer is there isn't much in the way of topicals that can be put on these sores. Systemic pain killers are where we all go. Once your canine friend is there, it is time for the hard questions.
