Hi Eileen,
I already take synthroid, have for the past 4 years because of the radiation. The doc is pretty sure that's what it is and says it has nothing to do with my original cancer. Of course my first reaction was DAMN can we just stick with the two "episodes" I've already dealt with. I've read up alot on cancer of the thyroid and it does seem easy to deal with. I'm actually hoping that IS exactly where the cancer is because he told me if it's in my neck where I've already had the neck disection, it's not good. He said surgery in those cases usually isn't successful. I didn't need to hear that but he had to tell me IN CASE it turns out to be that. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to a CT scan, I just want to know what I'm facing this time.

Thank you to everyone that's posted, it helps alot.

Love,
Minnie

Not again. Rats. This sucks - no two ways around it. I guess the advantage you (and I) have is that we KNOW we have gotten through it twice before, and we have that experience and strength to go for round 3. This ability to soldier on is what has made you such an inspiration for all of us - soldering on despite the fact that you are no doubt gut wrenching scared and more than a little angry at how things have turned out. Despite this, we go on - with the help of our friends. You can deal with this. We are all here for you.
