I don't know why I was not able to log on yesterday! I wanted all to know how much I appreciate your support and prayers. I would love to thank all who take the time to read and respond and let those who visit that this is a place where piece of mind is offered for the realites of our journies. I will let my family know that we have acquired a few 100 maybe 1,000's of family memebers whom are willing to help us along and for them to keep you all in their prayers. I will keep you posted on my brothers condition. For now "we wait, we hope and we pray" but with a little less ache in our souls due to your kind words.

Brother diagnosed SCC August 2005, radiation and chemo- 2 rounds, total glossectomy Sept. 2007, passed away May 21, 2008
"Everyday is beautiful" he stated on a cold and foggy Chicago winter day.

Hi Little Sister, we are so happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for expressing your appreciation and conveying to your family how much we all care. Definitely your prayer family is growing "by leaps and bounds!" You are so thoughtful to take the extra time to write a thank you when we all know that you're down in the trenches fighting at this moment. Everyone here cares about each other, you're right, and we are so glad that you've joined us and feel at home! Please say hi to your brother for us. What's one of his favorite activities in life? As I pray, I'd love to envision him enjoying whatever that is, with full gusto!

Please take care of yourself, too. This can be exhausting, so give yourself a little space and time to reaafirm YOUR goals and priorities. You might find--as many of us do--that those things can shift a little through this experience :-)

Good luck!! We look forward to your next update!

Lil Sister- I'm so sorry to hear that the chemo hasn't been effective for your brother. I'm praying that he is nt in too much discomfort. I can't imagine how heart wrenching this must be for you and your family.

Wishing there were words of comfort. Thinking of you .... K
