It feels like it has gotten some better over the last few weeks. I havent had to go home from work because of it Tim but there were days when I sure wanted to.
I have taken anti depressents in the past but they really did nothing for me. I am to start seeing my counselor again this coming week and my psychiatrist wants to try some bi-polar medication when I go back in to see him.
Jim, I am so sorry for what yu are going through my friend. I have followed your story as the others here have. I dont post a lot anymore but I still come here to see whats going on with everyone.
God Bless all of you, Billy

I empathize with you over the psychological issues. You and I have very similar diagnosis and clinical courses. Main difference is that my bilateral neck dissection occurred first, followed by the IMRT and Cisplatin.
As I have said in other posts, I had a pretty good bout of depression right after finishing treatment, then seemed to get better, and more recently have begun to go through it again. Not a profound sadness, as with most depression, just a kind of world weary anxiety, for want of a better term.
Keep us posted on how you are doing. I think we need more people with positive treatment outcomes and courses to contribute to the site. I will do my best to beat it, but it's just the thoughts of another summer on the outside looking in. Hell, I'll probaly be on my old wheel horse mowing and doing the weedeater thing. I hate to sit still. Thanks for caring all.
