When my mouth is that dry or I want curtail my water intake after dinner I pop a piece of Biotene gum and saliva production goes into overdrive. I use the gum religously weather at work or home. I don't go anywhere without it.

Anne-marie My Dr gave me mine to try i think you can get them over the counter....i would ask your Dr for a sample or perscription? although i have to say they made the roof of my mouth really sore, too sore to use them today and all day my mouth has been wet so it looks like i spoke too soon i think its just part of my healing and not the wonder effects of numoisyn. has your son tried the spray? its great for instant relief especialy if he's like me and gets really dry i take mine out with me, i am going to try to find the gum ...does the gum sting like the mouth wash?
thanks for reading...

The doctor also wanted some feedback on how it works for him.

He said it had the color, consistency and what he thinks might be the taste of a spittoon! And to quote him: "Yuck". So - I think we might try to get him the tablets. Auntypepples I think you mentioned having the tablets - what did they taste like to you?

I have them order 10 boxes at a time and the cost is less that $2 a box. I found this to be the best after market help I have tried and would recommend it. It is sugar free and does not burn the gums. Let me know how you like it.
