I was so sure I'd be off this tube by now but I can see it's going to be along road to that day so now my mind has turned to getting the best nutrition I can get via peg tube. I've managed to put weight on, but want to get back to my normal 125. Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know if it works.

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I have lost at least 30 lbs so far and feel much better energy wise. LOL I like tis weight of being in the 180 lb range insyead of the 220 lb range. NOw if the rest of my body feels this way when tis OC is gone, I'll be one healthy feeling guy. LOL. clothes aren't cheap tho. LOL
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
