I think god made us all different and he sure knew what he was doing except for the lack of brain power he gave me.. LOL I wish you well.

I am 6 mos post tx and started having spasms/difficulty swallowing about 1 1/2 months ago. It has even caused me to choke a few times because the food gets hung up in the back of my throat and won't go down or come back up. It makes me scared to try and eat anything. I am re-learning how to eat to begin with because I have been on the peg tube from the beginning. I had a modified barium swallow test done and the speech therapist said everything looked normal. She said that if there was any soft tissue problems that they wouldn't show up though. I went to see my main oncologist the other day. He said I am still cancer free. However he did say that my throat shows signs of radiation changes. I am going to continue seeking help for this because I will be very depressed if I can never eat normally again! Have you had problems with choking too?
