Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 149 | It's been 6mo after tomoth. Still tired. If I exercise, even lightly, the next 2-3 days I feel extra fatigue, almos like I caught a bug or something. Is this common or unusual.
Dx 10/06 Adenoid Cystic carcinoma; Stage I. Soft palate/minor salivary glands.
Tx surgery 11/06 Tomotherapy (targeted IMRT) 3/07

Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 2,019 | It matches my experience although I had two radiation treatments (for oral cancer and then breast cancer) within 6 months. For 6 months after the last rad treatment ended, I was still fighting being easily fatigued.
In fact, I am still way more easily fatigued than I was before treatment and it is two years later. But I was a pretty high energy person before so I think think now I'm more in the low-normal energy range.

I stained the deck 2 weeks ago and after that was done (and it was not hard work) I felt like a truck ran over me and also developed a fever that night. I guess that one should approach these things with more common sense and consider the consequences....
Still I hope that this improves.

Partial glossectomy (25%) anterior tongue. 4/6/07/. IMRT start @5/24/07 (3x) Erbitux start/end@ 5/24/07. IMRT wider field (30x) start 6/5/07. Weekly cisplatin (2x30mg/m2), then weekly carbo- (5x180mg/m2). End of Tx 19 July 07.
