I hope everyone is doing well. I'm just now coming out of a 2 week nauseous weak spell. I'm feeling better but my scalp is starting to itch like crazy. I have never had this as an issue so I was wondering if anyone else had this happen? I am 7 weeks post tx. I only lost the hair on my face and back of my head and some of my facial hair is returning but there doesn't seem to be a change on my head. I thought maybe it was the hair returning but I can't see any changes. I was wondering if I need to bring this up to my docs or wait it out. Has this happened to anyone else? Thank You. Lee

My Dr.'s said that some patients get this irratation in their hair folacles from the Chemo and it usually works it's way out after a while. Mine continues to improve. Also, if your like I was, my scalp and skin from the neck up seemed to become very dry more than likely from the radiation, which may be creating some of your itching.
Best Regards, Steve

I've tried lotion ect... and haven't found anything to particularly help. It usually happens in the evening. Why I have no idea, it just seems like when I sit down at the end of the day my scalp starts itching very intensely. This is a tiny issue of course, I again thank you for your reply. Thanks Lee

It's worse for me in the morning. Once I get on with the day and am moving around I don't notice it so much. I asked my doctor about it about a year ago and he said that it might be from nerves trying to regenerate. (I have nerve damage from the neck dissection.) All things considered it is a tiny issue. Be well, Rainey | | |

After the first set of responses to this I thought I was just crazy. I thought only me and Steve had trouble. Ha Ha. I know it's a small thing but it was getting painful because the itching was unbearable. It has slowed down some. I'll try baby shampoo since there is already some in my shower.
