When one battle is lost we all grieve.

I remember listening to Peter on the ABC radio station as I drove frantically home from school on the morning of Sept. 11th. I heard him as he watched the second tower fall and I remember the long silence. I could hear the tears in his voice as he tried to help us understand what was happening. I watched him on the TV when I arrived home with his shirt sleeves peeled back and his heart shining through.

Damn this cancer and all that it steals from us!

We will miss you!

Cindy

I grew up with Peter Jennings on the news. Sad to see him gone. I was just reading he announced it last April. I am wondering if it was advanced when they found it like most of the time it is.

Blessings,
Barb~

It's crazy, I know, but this morning when I woke up and heard Peter Jennings lost his battle with lung cancer I felt sad. Perhaps for the last decade, ABC news was THE network news we always watched. Therefore, I was watching in April when he announced that he would hope to return to the anchor chair as he needed to battle lung cancer.

Needless to say, I continued to watch ABC news, hoping for his return.

I'm not one of those that worship celebrity, but cannot help feeling sad about his passing.
