It is the day for putting away all the Christmas decorations in boxes of course. Also for us it is a day for family and friends. After skating we have Hot Turkey sandwiches. We are lucky again today - our outdoor pond is not covered with snow and we will be celebrating the New Year with a skating party followed by a lobster dinner. My husbands's health continues to be good and we will be bringing in the New Year in fine spirits. Happy New Year Everybody!!

Marcee and I just finished our New Years Eve dinner, Portorhouse steaks marinated in a lemon pepper sauce and sprinkled with blackin seasoning. Fried in butter fresh mushrooms. I made a nice hot fire on the charcoal grill and got them just right. (pink in the middle and hot) Baked potato's with sour cream, Had a sliced cucumber and table onions. We ended the meal with strawberry cheesecake with cool whip. I am stuffed. The most i ate in one meal in a year and a half. When I go for chemo on monday that scale better show some weight gain!!!!
Happy New Year to All!!!

Neither of us are much for drinking so we always stay home with the kids, which can be just as much fun, take my word. We ordered take out, dropped two kids off at a friends house for a kids party, had our grandchildren over, and watched some movies. My husband is on some new medication for his blood pressure/heart problems and it makes him really tired so we'll be in bed early. Lobster..............I grew up eating that stuff, in Maine it's like having hamburgers. I sure do miss it though! Minnie

One of the best things about surviving Cancer is getting to see him. I am thrilled to be here to be his Grandmother.Someone told me once they would have died before they would have went through all that I did.( Stage 4 cancer, failed femur flap and 12 operations in all till I was rebuilt.} All I have to do is look at that little face and him putting his arms out to me, and guess what, I would do it all over again just for that. Happy New Year and good health to all.

I am Japanese and do not know about Boxing day as a Japanese holiday, but we do exchange gifts during year-end period. New year is another gift-giving time but this is basically for kids only.
Wish you all happier, easier, fuller year of 2005!

I'm listening to some blues music by Keb Mo and hanging out... waiting for the first snowfall of the year. We don't get much, so it's a big deal, especially for the grandkids.
