I saw the dentist that sent me to the oral surgeon that biopsied my tongue lump that turned out to be SCC, that sent me to the ENT that resulted in the new normal that Dr. G built!
Next Friday I see Dr. G for my regular 2 month check, and that will be the anniversary of the day I got the diagnosis of SCC. Having a real deja vu week here!
Forgive me for the silly reference to the house that Jack built... I am in a goofy mood today.
Sincerely, Lisa

No forgiveness needed. You are in a goofy moood because you are on the other side of the last year's unpleasantness (now that is goofy, calling it unpleasantness)I liked the reference.
Good luck on your checkup, take your doc an anniversary card and really blow his mind.

Khaja, My dentist is awesome. I have him listed on the lifesavers section of this site. He has been wonderful to me.

I am thinking about suing my dentist (and oral surgeon and GP) - just kidding :p I'm over it now!
I'm glad that you are doing so well. A little goofiness (and positive survivor stories) are really appreciated around here!

On Monday, I saw my wonderful dentist for a routine filling. Card delivered, Dinah! He was very appreciative, and gives good hugs.
Right next door is the oral surgeon's office. Card delivered, waited 20 minutes for him to finish with his patient, hug delivered.
Friday was the anniversary of diagnosis of SCC and appointment with ENT, OMG! What a compassionate doctor I have. It was a party in the exam room. I am so blessed. Card delivered and best hug of all. Thank you so much for the idea Dinah.
Check up was stellar, and now have all my one year followup testing set for Wednesday. I have every confidence they will show no problems.
Thanks to all of you for being here. I can't believe what a difference in confidence this one year makes.
Having a party in Kansas! Sincerely, Lisa
