April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.

Thanks for posting the link! I found it very interesting even though it assumes you are caregiver to a parent versus in our cases our spouse. Quite timely too, as I was at our family doctor's office for my 6 month old's shots and they had mentioned they wanted to see me too. I thought it might be to get tested for diabetes a few months post-baby to ensure the gestational diabetes was just that, but they asked about how Sam's treatments and wanted to know how I was coping. They were the ones that originally thought Sam might have cancer, and the ones that got him in for a CT scan at the hospital after the general surgeon's office screwed up twice. Guess they've seen the toddler, baby and husband enough that they know how full my plate is!
