Wow! a BMW Z4! You really made me laugh! And what great ideas! When it got too hot for me at my son's house, (In the middle of winter) I just changed into one of his summer T-shirts. I think my BMW will be a long time coming tho' - but that's OK - I am just so glad my son is way past the difficult days and doing great!

And then answer these questions: #1.Is he able to fend for himself for a few days? #2. If you tell him you are going home to visit your family, will he fall apart?. #3.If you go home, will you be in a better frame of mind when you come back? Caring for someone and resenting it is a "no win" situation. You are in a tough spot, but you gotta find a good solution. Amy in the Ozarks.

We are both going home on Thursday for 10 days.I decided i had to be honest with him,and i assured him he wont have to be bothered with the family i will go and see them.so for him it will just be a different four walls to look at and maybe he can sit in the garden .He had a brilliant day yesterday and we went out for a couple of hours. The down side is when we got home he was tuckered out and today he is in bed feeling really rough again.I told him this morning we made need to walk before we start running. Still i looked in his mouth and for the first time i can see real signs of his tongue healing .Thank god

There are many ups and downs in this journey but already you are seeing improvement!! It takes a long time to get all the energy back. It's only been recently that my son was able to stay up past 8pm and his Tx ended 12/19/06. And for him the most difficult time were three weeks post Tx. Sounds like Robin in on his way to an upturn and it hasn't been that long since the end of his TX. I'm really happy for both of you.
