Dave is just over one year out from his treatment. If he shows no signs of a reoccurence why the anxiety? Is this something we all will feel as we go for checkups? I am scheduled for both a MRI, CAT Scan and or PET scan around December 11,2003. This is roughly one month post treatment. Time for my throat to heal I hope. If I receive two of the above mentioned three, which two should I choose? I am told they will be used as a baseline for future comparisions. It's that first test to compare to my baseline that I can imagine being a little jumpy. Thanks, Daniel

Still now got new problem, nice big ulcer on the back of tongue, i.e. the bit they missed! now I have to wait and see if its an just an ulcer or here we go again!! Still my husbands last check for his prostate cancer shows its still in remission so thank god for something good. One good thing, I have dropped 28lbs in the last 8 weeks, beats all the diets I've ever read about. Take care everyone, whiners of the the world unite!! Cheers Helen

For baseline checking after treatment, I received ultra sound (head and neck and abdomen), MRI, CT scan and chest x-ray. That was exactly two months post radiation. I will have all these tests again scheduled for this month and December as a kind of routine check two years post treatment. Not much anxiety now as I am just feeling fine.
