The article featured three cancer survivors, a four year old neuroblastoma survivor, a 34 year old Cervical cancer survivor, and myself. It was actually promoting a local Relay for Life event this coming weekend and the need for R&D, private donations, and awareness. The article was a great opportunity and I feel I made some good points for early detection and awareness, however they edited out a few key comments as well as my "plug" for the OCF website which was disappointing. I have already started getting some questions regarding the article and hopefully will get some more exposure for our cause at the event this weekend. I was surprised when I read the article as I actually got the last three paragraphs. I had been told up front the editor would probably trim my comments to a couple of lines but they kept some key comments. The last line of the entire article was my comment about "making one suggestion, visit your dentist often and make sure they screen for cancer." Whatever we can do helps!!

That's great that you got some of your comments in. Working with the media can be very frustrating, but many members have had a great deal of success lately.
Every little bit helps. You are so right.
