I am so sorry. I hope you and your family will be able to enjoy the time you have together. Try to take it one day at the time, although I know how much effort that will take. You are not alone. Love, Leena

I can relate to your situation. Being told that a loved one should go into palliative care can be a bit of a shock. I felt as though I had the wind knocked out of me and pretty much felt like passing out. I did, however, take your attitude and made the most of the time. I'm sure others have said this to you already, but you really need to take care of yourself too. I can't stress that enough. Take advantage of the help that hospice offers you as a caregiver. They have wonderful support for both the patient and family. You are in my thoughts. All my best, D

Of course, I feel so terrible at the news you are hearing. People I know personally have really been impressed with Hospice services. I'm hoping this is the case in your area too.
