Hello All!

It's so nice to be able to communicate again.

I Saw the Chemo Doctor on Monday. He said all margins were clear. Then he proceeded to "dig" (Really hurt!) and feel all over the chest and under the arm pits and sides of the chest.

Long story short no chemo. I was so relieved but at the same time I am finding it hard to rejoice at any good news as I pray everyday for all the people afflicted with this disease and do not want to upset people who must have it.

On the same token, I realize that some peoples TX forgo surgery and get chemo and do not have to face the "pains" of surgery. We are all in this War together but fight in different battles with the same intention of destroying this beast within us.

I had my mask fitted yesterday (Friday). No problems, no discomfort. All went very well and smooth. They put tape on the mask and marked it with ink in lue of tattoos on the skin.

Now here

Petey,

Get to the docs and have them take a look at the bumps, and don't beat yourself up over the unknown. Everyday you may be presented with a challenge more difficult that the one before so dig deep and use that courage and inner strength you have and tackle one at a time until there all solved.

Petey,

You are one of the most compassionate people that has come to this forum since I have been here. I hope that your family comes around someday and they realize what a wonderful human being you have become. Your alcohol addiction made you what you were and cancer has made you what you are today. It is their loss and our gain!

I wouldn't wait until your next appointment to tell the doc about your lumps. I would be at his office first thing tomorrow. None of us know what is going on in your neck, but I'm sure it is important to know before the radiation is started. The planned treatment may have to be changed based on the outcome of checking your neck.

Hi Petey, what good does it do to kill myself trying to save myself? Sunburns and cancer don't mix. There are 3 very important steps that help with situations just as yours and when I was going through my bankruptcy due to my life choices I remembered that I was starting a new life. Yes it hurt and it was difficult to lose everything but it freed me to completely start over. I didn't just give up, I just gave up when the fight was making me insane just like I did when walked into my first meeting. Common sense says go to the doc and have the lumps checked. If you keep yourself sick your property will sell on the courthouse steps anyway. Good Luck

Lee, age 33, stage 4a, T2N2bM0, Tumor left tonsil (removed), 2 left side nodes removed (poorly differientiatied)total of 3 nodes involved. Treatment IMRT x33/ 2x Cysplatin completed. Good Health and Good Help to you.

Petey..I wrote you a note today that didn't get posted somehow, so I will write again. You are special to all of us, and you can tell that we all agree that you need to go tomorrow to get checked. It is probably related to some over-reaction due to your over-activity, but who knows?? You might need an antibiotic....or you might need more. You won't know until you go, and you can't afford to have lingering questions like this as you prepare for your rad. series.

Please......?? Write us tomorrow and tell us what you find out. You've got us worried now, so don't leave us hanging. OK?

XO

Petey....for these "bumps" to have appeared so suddenly seems to me a good sign, but I am no doctor, and good sense tells you and the rest of us for you to not wait to get them checked out
