My legs are keeping me awake almost all night every night. They feel like their going to sleep (you know that tingling feeling) and ache real bad. I didn't know if this may be a result of coming off the morphine or just a coincidense.
I sure would appreciate any feedback. | | |

John had some weird things happen when he got off the fentanyl patch. He also had a bad "restless leg syndrome" when he was given Benedryl iv before his 1st Erbitux tx. Drugs [getting on and off] effect people in many ways. Ask your favorite Doc about this and see if there is a solution. You need to sleep. Amy

I have been off all of the drugs for a week now. I weaned myself off of the morphine over a three week period. I spent the last week taking only half of a 15mg IR in the morning, so I didn't think that I would have issues with it this long.
My family doctor prescribed Requip which is a drug for RLS but its not helping.
Maybe it is still some withdrawl symptoms.
Thanks again | | |

I had restless legs after taking what I believe was reglan, the doc told me I might. I was also taking zofran, compazine and decadron. I stopped with the reglan, but after my third chemo, I experienced "restless body syndrome". I apparently had a reaction to the compazine, some people do I was told. I felt like my body was crawling inside out, went to the hospital and was given benadryl. Hope you find some relief.

I think I read somewhere that you can be susceptible to RLS if you get even moderately dehydrated. I've noticed over time that that seemed to be true for me, so I try to be sure to keep my water intake high enough to counteract it.

I did take zofran and compazine but I have not had any meds (including the morphine) for over a week now.
I will watch the water intake, but I do drink quite a bit because of the dry mouth.
Thanks again. | | |
