Hi, Everyone smile
It has been really crazy in my household and I rarely get a chance to use the computer!!!
Tom and I will be there - - we are (happily) staying with my sister, who will be walking with us smile Tom and I often visit VA Beach, and love staying at the 'kitchier' hotels on the waterfront. Seahawk is one of our favorites. Haven't been there for awhile, and I know it took hurricane damage last year, but go on line to see about it if you don't mind a bit of a drive to get to the park. SLeeping and waking to the sound of the ocean would be worth it to me!
I'm a baker, so I am raising money with 'bake sales' at my office. I make quiches and pies to order and it has been going very well smile
Love to all..
Tom is IMPROVING! He is up to 137 lbs from his low of 127. His beard is actually growing in a bit and we are hopeful it will fill in eventually. His energy levels are low, but he does manage to go to work for about 4 hours a day. He is doing exercises for the neck/shoulder/arms and is determined to make a stab at a 6th degree black belt promotion next year.

Nicki, good to hear from you again. How is Tom's blood counts? Energy issues sometimes have to do with red and white blood cell activity and if his counts are low, a product called Procrit works wonders. I've had it twice and it has done a very good job in getting the counts back up where they belong. God bless.

Hi,
Who all is coming to this soiree? I have plane tickets on hold until midnight tomorrow. Are we going to do a meet and greet on Friday someplace so we have some time to bond with old friends and make new ones. What are the plans for forum members meeting each other? I'm on the fence as to whether to attend or send a donation. I'd like to meet all you people but I'm not certain how many are still coming.

Take care,
Eileen

Hi Eileen,

The head count fot the OCF Team is yet unknown. I think the number will be anywhere from 20 to 50 members and familys. Hope you and Charlie can come. Will post more information about meeting somewhere on Friday pm. Plan on also meeting at the park Saturday morning about 7am. Time to mingle and set everything up.

Minnie and I also would like everyone to meet for dinner Saturday night. She will make the reservations closer to the actual date.

Love Ya, Danny Boy

Danny,
You gotta be joking? 7am. NOBODY wants to see me at 7am. I rarely get up before 8.

Hi everyone,

Ok, I'm off the fence. Charlie and I are going. We will be arriving Thursday around 5:00 and departing Monday because there were no Sunday flights left. Now I need a car rental, a place to stay that is on the beach and is quiet and some sponsors. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Take care,
Eileen

I have a rough count of 27 members and family so far for the OCF team. Thats counting Minnie as 1. I know she will have many members of her family there also. The OCF team should be around 40 people.
Minnie and I discussed going out to eat on Saturday night after the walk. Would be so nice to enjoy everyones company with some interesting discussion. One Rule: No peg tube discussion!!!

Glad to hear you and Charlie are comming Eileen!!!

See ya Soon, Danny Boy
