One of the Chemo oncologist wants to add me to a group using some additional chemo chems.. Anyone know much about "adding" Bevacizumab (Avastin) and Tarceva to the mix. This is in addition to the std. cisplatin.

Thanks.

Hey Bill...hope you're doing well. I've done a little research on OCF regarding this combination of drugs.

You may want to review posts by Gail Mac, or wait for her to see your question, as I believe she may have first-hand information which may be helpful to you.

Stay in touch!

Lois (and Bill) --

I believe Gail and her husband are in Africa for a month on a bird-watching expedition, so she may not see this for a while.

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.
