Joined: May 2007 Posts: 61 | I did 7 weeks of chemo and two cycles of cisplatin-my OC put me on magnesium during and after tx. Was anyone else on it? If so, how long AFTER chemo??? Thanks!!
SCC-tongueT3N0M0- IMRT 35times-1/07-3/07; along with one cycle of Cisplat & one cycle of Carboplat; weekly erbitux.finished all tx.3/07-supposedly gone. Recurrence 6/07. Age 31-non-smoker/social drinker. Devastated it's back.

Try a search. Use both search engines. One at top of page, and one at bottom of page. I am very surprised no one answered you....I have no knowledge of chemo or mag.

Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 50 | Low magnesium can cause heart arrythmias.
They can detect low magnesium in the blood work and if you are taking chemo, they should be checking this.
