Has anyone used caphosol? I learned about it somewhere on this board or at another site and haven't been able to find it back now. It's suppose to help with dry mouth and soreness I think. My husband was going to ask his dr. about it. He's trying the magic mouthwash but it doesn't seem to be helping very much. Any other suggestions?

It is nothing more than a Rx artificial saliva. It has not proven very effective at reducing the soreness of mucocitis though that is what the manufacturer is saying it is good for. While it has been set up as a prescirption drug, there is nothing in it that requires it to be that way. There is a press release on it with the comapnies name in our news section if you do a web site search. Personally, lidocaine mouthwashes, will be more effective at controlling the discomfort. This product is not going to make the sores heal any faster.
