I got the hiccups too but it wasn't from my PEG, it was from a steroid I was taking. Decadron was the name I think and one of the side effects was hiccups. They didn't go away until I stopped taking it.

I had chronic hiccups too and it was a living hell. I tried everything and nothing seemed to work. They now how hiccups work, but they don't know why - it is sort of a medical mystery.

The last time I had chronic hiccups. They gave me prilosec and strict instructions about diet (no chocolate, coffee or anything with tomato sauce in it) and Prilosec. The Prilosec worked.

Are you using a slow feeding method? People have had PEG problems by feeding too fast.

If he is getting chemo he also needs anti-acids because it does a number on the stomach lining. They gave me prescription ones.
