Have searched & search the boards. Found a lot of posts about the Erbitux acne rash, but no info on what anyone may have used to treat it. When I say 'treat it', I mean like the posts where people say they've treated their ratiation burns w/aloe, Biafine, RadiaGel, etc. . .

Oncologist told my fiance's his rash is stage 2 of 3 (though, that may be incorrect because, someone on the board posted there are 4 stages) & he's got the itchy, itchy scalp to, which I assume is from the acne being there also.

Would appreciate if anyone care to share tips on things to make it more tolerable?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Rebecca, John's chemo Doc has told him to shampoo and body wash with Head and Shoulders Dandruff shampoo [it does help some] and we use a strong aloe vera cream also. John has just bought a tube of Lidocain Plus[OTC] to try on his chest. When the rash started affecting his fingernails and toe nails, they cut back the infusion dosage for a few weeks. Can your fiance tolerate Benedryl? That helps some people. The rash is tough. Wishing you all Best luck. Amy
