Hi everyone. Its hard to believe but a year has past since this nightmere began.

After a needle biopsy turned up negitive I was told it could be a virus, but I new it was cancer.

Funny how you know certain things isnt it?

Dont you also find it funny that doctors go by the diagnosis date, but insurance companies go by treatment end date? Kinda sucks when you have 5 kids and cant get life insurance.

Now I start the process of the 1 year checkup.
Oncol today. CAT scans Sat. Rad/Oncol Mon. and Surg on Tues.

I feel great and am looking forward to an uneventful week.

Any prayers or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert

To Everyone:

Thank you. I wish I could take the time to thank all of you in person. You really are family.

Everone and everything on my end has gotten back to normal. In fact most of my children (4 of 5) dont even know I am going for my 1 year.
My oldest (Alison 9) is not only aware she insists on going with me on Sat for the scans.
I would love to think of this as a tender moment but I think she is mostly interested in going to the American Girl store downtown. I am half kidding of course. Being the oldest and watching cancer take my mom a year before I was diagonsed left her feeling like I was going to die just like grandmom. It really hit her hard. She is my angel. My only girl. The boys could care less. They are too young to understand.

Anyway I will post the results as soon as they become avalible. I saw my oncol yesterday and he said my throat looks great. everything is where it is suppose to be.

Thanks again to my extended family for your prayers, kind words, and positive thoughts. I will be praying for all of you.
Robert Hamilton & Family
