Hi All, Had my check up from the plastic surgeon today. He's the one that built the pech flap from my right pech muscle. He drained some fluid out of the right side of my chest and told me everything looked good. He advised me that the rad would not start for at least another three weeks. Wants the flap to heal good before starting the radaition. This will be a total of 6 weeks after my surgery. Is this normal? seems like a long time to start the rad. Will be seeing the rad on'gist tomorrow to have the mask fitted
amd map out where the rad will be given. Dan

My husband wanted six week also. I thought it was to long too. Doc said it was normal to wait the six weeks. He also said everything needed to heal before the rad.
