Getting excited? The target shooting as a planned event didn't get done this time, but that's not to say a group of us could't go down there and fire off some rounds on Saturday anyway.
I'll do another post with contacts, etc, rooms to go to, re-view the schedule. Still planning silent auction or raffle, it'll be a surprise (to me also).
I do have a question, I have some mail from a G. Knight that I haven't matched up with a person from the board. If you've sent me a check and G. Knight is on the return address, please drop me a line so I can match you up as being paid.
To answer Danny G's question about living in China and having a Houston address, I use a mail forwarding service in Houston, collects my mail then forwards it to me in China.
Ony a week and a half (this time next week I'll be in Vegas already) Get ready for the Hokey Pokey
O proud left foot, that ventures quick within Then soon upon a backward journey lithe. Anon, once more the gesture, then begin: Command sinistral pedestal to writhe. Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Poke. A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl. To spin! A wilde release from heaven's yoke. Blessed dervish! Surely canst go, girl. The Hoke, the poke -- banish now thy doubt Verily, I say, 'tis what it's all about.
Bob

Shooting at cancer sounds like a good way to vent. Looking forward to meeting everyone. - Sheldon

I like the idea of shooting at cancer too - we need to find someone who needs treatment -any volunteers?

I have a couple of thoughts, I am fairly bad with names (just ask Greg) I would like to apologize up front if I don't connect a "real" name with an OCF name wen we meet! I hope someone is bringing name tags for sure.
Second, I will be checking in early Thursday. I will ask the front desk if they can keep a list of OCF arrivals so we could get in touch with each other even before the Friday night event.
I am looking forward to our meeting!

I can't make the reunion and I can't express how upset I am about it. But, I had to make a tough choice and, though it makes me sad, I feel I made the right one. My daughter, Mercedes, turned 14 on the 17th of this month and asked for us to rent out a speed boat for her party. We did this but the only weekend this month that was available is the 26th. I know we need to always look ahead, but I admit that I look at my kids birthdays like it might be the last one I share with them. This one is important to me. I will be there in spirit, thinking about you all every minute of each day. And I will be there next year, no matter what. Have a good time, laugh loud, laugh often, hug, and make memories. I can't wait to hear all about it. I predict that Mark will be the life of the party. Minnie

I hope the guy bringing the name tags puts both the real name and the OCF name on the tags or I'll never connect anyone.
My husband and I are also arriving on Thursday on a 3:00 flight from JFK. Gonna miss ya Minnie but your daufghter only gets to turn 17 once. Enjoy her party.

I know Vegas is generally a casual jeans, shorts and t-shirt kind of place. For Saturday night, though, are you guys planning on dressing up? If so, I hope not too dressy. Maybe casual dressy? I don't want to look too out of place, but I was figuring on a nice blouse and slacks. And Greg says he's planning on jeans and a nice shirt. Just wondering if we will look like hicks from the sticks next to you all! Rosie
