hi everyone,just got back from the hospital and im sooooo happy to share with you all that i dont have cancer,the vocal cord is under a lot of strain from talking and smoke wich i no longer do,the tonsil shows no sighns of the disease either..i will go back in 6 months time for check up.i just want to thank you all for being there for me as i have been going in sane with worry.i feel some what ashamed for being happy, as i know you are all going through sooo mutch,but i will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and drop by the site now and then if thats ok with you all.....love and hugs to you all........il keep you all in my heart......

Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10

Wilma! That is wonderful news. Don't feel bad about being happy just come back and cheer for us when we are cured. I quit the bad smokes too. I am glad you did and I hope you never smoke again. I am 1 day away from 2 packs a day but I am done forever.

Hi Wilma,
That is great news. Stay away from the cancer sticks. As I was so lucky to learn, even 1 cig a day is 1 too many. What is that AA saying, 'one is too many and a thousand is not enough'. That goes for cigs also. Do not sstart smoking again even to the slightest.

Dx June 2004 stage III right tonsil 1 node involved, 70 radiation tx completed 08/20/04, no chemo or surgery, 32 years old and 26 weeks pregnant at dx and tx. & non-smoker and non-drinker
