On 3/29/05, approximately 9 days after I had developed a red area that turned into an open ulcer like sore, I had a biopsy performed by an oral surgeon

On 3/31/05 the results came back negative and the area has healed up and is almost completely gone

If you read my previous posts, I had also had some sores prior to this that had developed on my inside lower gum line and they also went away

Today 4/9/05 I have a growth of tissue on the side of my tongue, way back in the back of my tongue

It is like a flap of skin, it is red and I can wiggle it back and forth. It is about 1cm, no pain and is not round, but flat and extends out

I have been examining my mouth myself all the time , as well as my dentist, doctor and oral surgeon and im pretty sure this is a new growth and was not there prior to today....

In the last month I have been to my regular doctor and an oral surgeon twice for the two different sores on my gum and on my tongue, I have been to a walk in clinic once as well as my dentist

I feel like im going crazy!

What does anyone make of all this?

Can a cancerous growth grow that quickly?

What should I do about this new growth?

Dino,
put your mind at ease and make an appointment with an ENT or head & neck surgeon (with previous cancer experience) and have cancer ruled out definitively. You could be looking at a normal piece of your anatomy and we can't tell you over the internet. None of the doctors you have seen thus far are head & neck or cancer specialists. For what it's worth, it doesn't seem like cancer to me but if it were me and knowing what I know now about cancer, I would see a specialist.
