About 6 months ago I was driving and noticed a cyst under my bottom lip. I didn't think anything of it until the other night, I woke up and half of my lip was swolen. I soon noticed that I had another cyst in the other side of my mouth. I can also see white patches through my lip when it is wet. I just had a very bad cold before this, and was stopped up, but now my I have earaches every now and then. I was a tobacco user for about 3 months and also alchohol. I have been doing research and I would diagnose myself with oral squamous cell carcinoma but I am also very paranoid. I'm hoping it could just be cysts, but the white patches and earache have me worried. I am going to the dentist in two days.

Forget the dentist - see a specialist.

We have a saying on this website "It ain't cancer tell they say it's cancer" You are quite young to have oral cancer. Hoping it's a minor problem. Please keep us posted on what you find out. We love to hear good news.

Breathe deep and relax. Like Gary and Danny say, go see an ENT and let them figure it out. There are so many other things that it can be. We will be waiting to hear what you find out, and sending the positive vibes out to you.

Dentists don't deal with earaches. It is not cancer until a biopsy says it is. Relax & breathe. You probably don't have anything to worry about & you can not self diagnose. Take care & let us know what happens, Erik

Im like you,I can really get utterly frightened by stuff like this so you should go see an ENT asap to relieve your mind. Don't let this scare you to death...thats worse than actually having cancer IMHO.

The surgeon says he will go to the bone but will not have to remove the bone. I am concerned about them putting her to sleep as she is a 84year old lady with congestive heart failure along with that she has a heart condion known as a-fib where her heart gets out of rythm. Is it necessary to put her completly asleep with a breathing tube and all.
