Have they been helping those of you who are using them? Although I did not look forward to getting up each day and going to treatment, I guess that it gave me some structure and things that I had to do. Just sitting around the house seems to be worse, however. There just seems to be nothing to look forward to. Has walking or exercising helped anyone? I really need to get to the office, and even that seems like a chore and I haven't done it for a few days. Danny ( Digtexas )

He is a fit, youthful 65. We both were under the misconception that he would be ready for golf right after the treatments. This site has been a life saver in that it has given us a realistic prespective. Now when he walks around the block or goes to the store with me--we feel gratified. Try to enjoy whatever you can--get the book by Lance Armstrong "It's Not About The Bike". A great cancer survivor story, Hang in there. Meredith | | |

After I was home my son went to pick up Boost, He got strawberry and chocolate by mistake. We used it mixed with vanilla. The chocolate made me more comfortable than I had been in a long time, and I burped the flavors and since I had had no food in months it was a real treat to taste the flavors. Packer had used his Peg-tube longer than anyone and he has some real good advise on things that may help. I also had that bla! feeling after I started to feel a little better, I watched every decorating show on TV, and cooking. When i got back up full tilt my family was calling me Martha Stewart! I read a lot, everything, I took walks to strenthen my leg ( removed a bone from it). I have found music to be a big comfort when I feel depressed, I got a Disc-player and headphones as a gift in the hospital and everyone sent me CD's. No slow music! I had old Motown, to modern, Eric Clapton is my favorite, I used it to block pain, it works. Good luck, gnelson :p
