Be strong!!
A short story - In 1950 my mother had a major stroke the day after I turned 7. We were 5 children - an older sister in college and the others were 5, 2 1/2 and 18 months! At that time there was no medical help for her. She made up her own physical therapy exercises and forced herself to learn to speak and walk. The strenght of a mother is incredible. Stay focused on your little people and don't let anyone get you down. May whatever discomfort and pain the treatment brings be transformed into positive energy to help you beat this.

SCC stage II Partial mandibulectomy w. neck dissection- July 2005. Renal cancer w. partial nephrectomy-Jan 2004. Breast cancer discovered in routine mammogram. Successful lumpectomy, sentinal nodes clear, RT only-2008 Reconstruction of mandible w fibula free flap-Jan 09. TORS removal of begnin pappiloma from esophagus-2010. Masectomy,rt breast 2013.

Welcome to THE site for oral cancer patients. As far as radiation goes, you must follow your oncologist's recommendation to get the maximum benefit from it. Keep updating your progress, we are all here for you.
