| Hello to all,
I am going to start contacting hotels for room rates. Both sleeping rooms and a meeting room so we have a place to gather.
From the committee end of things this is NOTHING definite, but it MAY be around the beginning of October in Las Vegas.
In order to TRY and make the best deals for us - Can I please have a count of people (yourself and family) that MIGHT attend.
Such as X needs two rooms because himself, wife and two kids are coming. Or Y needs one room for herself and husband. The people count matters, no only the number of rooms. No one will be held to this as a committment, I just need a starting place to negotiate.

Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10

Add two for my husband and myself. Depending on the weekend I may have 1-3 kids if it is in Vegas. So...to start with one room with two beds. Thanks for taking this on! - Kris

Have been checking room rates with Bob and Vegas in Oct is very expensive. You might want to consider end of September or beginning of November. We were also checking New Orleans ($$$) and St Louis.

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.
