He changed the PET Scan from thursday to Monday so that he could see me right after and we can talk at length. I told him I didn't think I could mentally handle this and he said I can. Guess he's heard this many times. I'm still scare to death about what i'm going to have to go through and am still trying to find a way out. Yeah..I figured I'd change my signature

I don't even know you but I'm proud of you. It's amazing how powerful love can be. Especially when a youngster is involved. I would have never dreamed that I'd be free from the chemicals. I've been nicotineless for a month now, after twenty years of continuous use. Anne Marie 07, if I can do it, you can do it. Personally, I'm using the people on this forum, especially you Lee, prayer and the love of my children to quit and so far its working. I guess my point is don't try to do it by yourself. Find strength from whatever you need. Be it God, that little girl, anything. Stay with this forum. You'll find these people are truly blessed and willing to help all that come. Lee, holler at me the next time you're in E. TN maybe we can take our boys fishing 865-435-5305.

You are 52 yrs. old [if you are being honest] and you could have alot of good life ahead of you. You've got a formidable disease to fight, which will take alot of guts, strength and courage. Or you can just quit. So please make a list of why it might be good to be on the "top side of the grass" rather than under it- you should get help with this part if your depression has taken total control of your thought processes- You can Fight to survive or quit and say "so long"
You have a Medical team who is prepared to fight for you and there is a Superbowl sized football stadiun full of people here who will support you if you choose to fight . Should you choose the alternative, some of us can help you with that part also. Amy in the Ozarks

Then you need to live it. As Amy said you have more support here than you could imagine. Put the smokes down and find someone to help you. I walked away from a pack a day for 35 years when I was diagnosed back in October 06. This will not be easy by no means but it beats the alternative.
