hi, I live I the UK my brother with cancer lives in Australia, he's been having trouble with his feeding tube, it came out last week and eventually replaced, he was telling me he had really bad gastric diarrhea, was being sick and it was brown, stomach pain he said was like bad heartburn, so he went back to hospital and has been in since they said it was inflammation, but now he's saying the skin round his peg site is raw and painful, he also has a trachea so is not very verbal so writes everything down, I there any advice regarding the peg I can give him

Sorry for your brothers diagnosis and treatment complications.

Regarding the PEG tube irritation, in the US they have an ointment called Calmoseptine. (see https://oley.org/page/CalmingRashes )

It is a zinc oxide skin protectant with some soothing menthol I think. Has calamine, zinc oxide, lanolin I think and some other ingrediants.

A doctor prescribed some for me for another issue, but it worked great on my skin in a sensitive area.

I'd suggest he ask his doctors about that or something similar.
