I had (as my radiation oncologist said) beautiful teeth, and the IMRT caused decay and ultimately the removal of all of my teeth. I ultimately decided to have them all removed at the same time since I had suffered through years of tooth breakage.
I did the HBO “dives” and underwent the surgery. Then more HBO “dives” afterwards. Fortunately I did not develop osteoradionecrosis. It truly sucks (pardon my language) but there really isn’t any other way to describe.
