Five weeks of treatment are now behind me, which has included 24 radiation sessions & 2 rounds of chemo. I now have two weeks of treatment left . That includes 9 additional radiation sessions & 1 final round of chemo (cisplatin). Looking forward to the day I can go home & cuddle with my cat.

Like so many others on the forum here, I've been dealing with side-effects from treatment. Including fatigue, red skin, salty taste, & mouth sores (with the most painful sores on my tongue - ouch!). The pain is being managed so far with lidocaine & morphine, which allows me to eat.

The number of people involved in my care (@ a CCC) is humbling. Doctors, nurses, therapists, support staff, & of course, family. With everyone fighting for me to beat cancer the least I can do is fight back and win!
