After only 3 HBOT the drainage in moms open wound has stopped . She visits the wound care doctor once a week to have it checked and measured . Guess what everybody the wound is already measuring a little smaller with only 3 treatments .

I must say she is one strong momma . The HBOT really make her weak in fact she couldn't make it through the 90 minutes yesterday . I called the Chemo doctor and told him she was feeling weak and drained . He had her come to the office and gave her some IV Fluids and by the end of the day she had more pep in her step . Lol.

We will keep on battling the beast .

Well, that's great news! I guess now it's up to her to attempt to increase water intake in order to avoid the dehydration.

Good to hear. Many claim HBOT increases they're energy. Not me, made me tired, and napped every time I got home. The daily commute could have been a factor. I did 60 minutes, which may have been shortened by a faster descent, ascent.

Thats excellent news!!!! I was hoping it would help, so glad it did. Great job at advocating for your mother! Getting hydration always helps.

HBO has always helped me to heal whenever I had healing difficulties. After about 7-10 dives your mother may notice changes in her eyesight. Make sure she tells the doc about this. For most its only temporary but Ive heard someone mention it speeding up their glaucoma.

It seems like when my mom comes out the chamber she feels really drained and weak. The doctors told us she would be very fatigue . I guess between the Chemo and HBOT it's taking a lot out of her . We are continuing to hang in there and hope for some good results in the end .

That is a great report! I'm glad it is working for her. I've always wondered what one is able to do while during "dive". Can you read or watch tv or anything?

Not much in the single person tube, Don. Sleep or watch TV. Mine had cable TV, and DVD player on the outside, with speakers in the tube, which were controlled by the technician or doctor. I brought my own movies. Lets just say, Seinfeld wasn't funny. You couldn't bring anything in the tube like a book, food, drink, and wore only a gown, but I kept my socks on, a few wore eyeglasses, and those that couldn't wait, carried a urinal.

I did my HBO at 2 different locations. Both places had a chart prominently displayed in the dressing room telling you what you cant take in. I was always allowed a water bottle with the label removed. Other than that, the nurse always told everyone "If you werent born with it, then it doesnt go in the tank". That meant no dentures, makeup, false eyelashes, jewelery, or even dyeing your hair when doing HBO. Where I went eyeglasses and contacts werent allowed, they didnt even let you wear your own socks they made you wear the hospital ones. It was an individual tank where you either slept or watched tv. I got thru the entire Sopranos series while doing HBO.
