This is a late thank you (one year), but I thank you all for your replies, and your humor; you were a great encouragement to me.  As you all said, it does get better, and it did.  After two pharynx dilations, and surgery for removal of adhesions, I am feeling 99.9% normal. After surgery and radiation my dentures no longer fit and I had to get new ones.  My G-tube has been removed, I finally have teeth again and am learning how to eat again.  Thanks to you all for your notes of encouragement.
Oral squamous cell cancer 1-1/2 years ago, with removal of 2/3 of my tongue on the right, and neck dissection with no positive nodes.
