Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 37 | Good news! The tongue biopsy came back as scar tissue, I had the lymph biopsy on Thursday and still waiting on the results. The largest of all the nodes had grown some (1.6 x 3.1), but I will be completely surprised if it turns out to be cancer. It is on the other side of my neck, I am fully expecting good news, but have to be realistic about the possibility that it could be cancer. Thanks for all your thoughts. 12/20/13 - Tongue Biopsy - Mild hyperkeratotic dysplasia
12/26/13 - Lymph FNA - benign (dx Cervical lymphadenopathy)
3/17/14 - Tongue Biopsy - normal tissue
5/5/14 - Tongue Biopsy - (awaiting results)

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 37 | ALL CLEAR!!! Got the results today, the lymph node is just a responsive lymph node. No evidence of cancer (and they tested for several types). WOO HOO! Happy New Year! Here's to 2014, a year with no cancer. Take care friends.
