Don you are correct, I cannot get dentures. I have trismus. I also cant risk injuring any part of my mouth when attempting to make the mold. I have major healing issues going on which limits any chances Im willing to take. After a couple opinions Ive resigned myself to accept that dentures are not in my future, not even to wear just when I go out. To me, its not worth the risk involved.

wow. that is a bummer. But it seems eating without any protection from food constantly hitting the gums is potentially a big risk for injuring your gum and jaw.

Now, I am thinking for myself as a dummy with a few missing teeth who attempts to eat whatever including hard tortilla chip and other things that poke the hell of my gums unless I am careful. I'll assume you totally avoid any food that is hard or requires chewing and stay only with soft foods and liquids.
