Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 5 | Once you get the pathology on your polyp and other tissues you will hopefully be worry free. I have never heard of a nasal spray that prevents polyps... but then I am not overly versed in nasal issues.
It is very possible that because all of these orifices are connected the polyp etc, will cause a radiating type of pain (particularly if it is touching a nerve) so the ear and throat pain may be related to this.
Regardless, hopefully the surgery is successful and you get clean bill of health. Let us know... take care

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 8 | Sounds like you have alot going on and your doc is being proactive by doing a biopsy. He is covering all the bases so he can rule out cancer. I know you have some big issues but believe it or not, you really are lucky. Good luck with your surgery.
