We go through tough times and come around the corner expecting to keep moving on. Not an easy decision for you and close enough to where I could get the same news Friday. Had scan yesterday. My thought would be to remove it but I can't make the call. Thoughts are in your corner.

My MO is falling in line with the ENT and recommending to get it out. I am getting a 2nd ENT opinion at another great cancer center on Monday, but unless I hear something new and compelling, I am leaning pretty heavily to get the surgery (and have already scheduled it for late next week).
Could be all for nothing, but does not seem worth the risk to wait and see.

I think everyone read through my post as intended, but to be sure, the PET report indicated that the moderate uptake was likely negative for cancer, but "technically indeterminate."
As I mentioned, unless I hear something compelling from the 2nd ENT, the course is set to have the surgery next week.
Thanks again all for the helpful input.

The neck dissection was the easiest part of the whole treatment.
