I agree with Cheryl - do what feels right to you. You've been through so much in the past few years and that stress from constant worry isn't good.
Did your doctors say why they don't want to do the surgical biopsy?
I'm glad the mammography came back OK!

I just today (9-18-13) found out that my RSCC. surgery came back with failed margins. so I know how you feel about the fear and subsequent knowledge of what you don't want to know. I sincerely hope that you will be given what you deserve. And not this terrible nasty evil condition. "May we stroll together or stumble and fall all alone"

I pushed for it and the team was in agreement based upon my history. It will be minimally invasive and they can do a full biopsy. The doctor explained it could be head and neck mets, a weird breast cancer, lymphoma or nothing at all. Sunderwood, I had failed margins previously and I am holding my own after treatment, so don't give give up the ship!

PET on Tuesday, decision time Thursday. This will be number 5 for me. The doctor commended me for sticking to my guns and insisting the excisional biopsy be done. Since this hasn't been there that long there was a good chance the FNA B would have been another false negative. You must listen to your instincts!

I'm glad you insisted on the biopsy - women's instincts can't be beat! But I was sure hoping you were wrong. Number 5 - this really stinks!
When was your last PET? I know they told me that sooner than 3 months you can run the risk of a false positive.
Praying for you!!
Susan
