Thanks you for sharing. I do keep busy but the ear and throat pain and temple pain are so hard to ignore.
I have a busy day planned tomorrow and I guess the worse part will be the waiting after the biopsy. I just hope that if it is serious, I'll know before the end of the week. I think you are so courageous, going through all this three times. I am humbled by your story as well as the other members.
I feel calmer tonight.
Again, thank you so much.

Chances are its not cancer, but you will not know for a few weeks either way. At this rate you'll fall apart before you even get he results. Most biopsies take up to 2 weeks for a defituve dx - wood luck!

As Christine and Cheryld have said, please do yourself a favor and try not to think about "it" as much as possible. It will not change anything and it can't do any good. My ENT said "I'll put a RUSH on your biopsy results" and it took 2 weeks!! Some rush...

My doctor told me that if it is something cancerous, I'll know within a couple of days.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks again for calming me.

The surgeon had to know how much to remove once the quick biopsy showed cancer, so he could aim for clear margins. Then all the pieces were tested more thoroughly after, and those results took longer. So you can have quick and slow results at the same time! Hopefully you will learn enough to ease your mind tomorrow. Have you got someone to go with you, is it outpatient?

The biopsy went well and my ENT says that he is 95% sure that I am ok. He says that he has seen so many that if he had a doubt, he would not have told me anything or he would have said that he is not sure. He also mentioned that he would say 100%, but he is not allowed. I will see him in two weeks for the official results.
He says stop the worry and that I am fine. The lingual tonsil is inflammed, but no swollen nodes so he says maybe I always had one side bigger than the other and that the ear, throat jaw pain is most likely tmj.
I will let you know the definite results in two weeks, but it is looking good and I hope that he is right.
Bless you all.
