For weeks I've been reading all of your encouraging words & wisdom. And now your'e sharing this with little ole me. I am truly honored that all of you have read my story. This might sound stupid but I am in awe.
Darrell -thanks so much for your input you are truly an inspiration & I am so happy for you & your recovery. We will ask again if the surgery is necessary, and by the way we are neighbors (kinda) thanks again!
Gary -a sigh of releif...I was so worried we had made the wrong decisions about mom's dr. Thank you for letting me know that this is normal procedure(taking so long) The Lord is with us, without Him I would have already went nuts & this is only the beginning. I am anxious to see all the miracles He has planned for mom & our family. Your prayers would mean alot to us.
DannyBoy -I feel like I already know you, I've read several of your posts. Thanks for all your kind words & wisdom. I have 6 other siblings & we all live close by, we will all do our share with mother, she lives on her own & she's used to taking care of us, not someone taking care of her. She's a strong little woman & I hope she'll let us care for her. Thanks again I will keep in touch.
Susan aka Uptowngirl -HEY GIRL!! I know I sound so silly getting excited over talking to you guys but wow -I've read several of your & your husbands posts & you both keep it so interesting & resourceful -not to mention you both seem like the perfect twosome with such big hearts & full energy! Sharing your experience has really been helpful to me & I'm sure lots of others. People that live their lives trusting in God & suddenly something like this happens to them most of the time that person knows there is a reason for this -honestly you helping others on this forum -well this might be the reason. You 2 are just great -anyway thanks for the info on the staging & PET scan, I hope we get the results back the same day. Thanks for your wisdom!
Debbie - to my fellow Alabamian -I read your post saying you were moving to Birmingham, at the time I was wondering if you were moving so that you could get close to UAB or if other reasons brought you to my neck of the woods. Thank you for your reassurance with mom's doc. There has definitely been lots of prayer involved while we are trying to get through this. Mom believes the Lord will not let her go through this if she can't handle it. She keeps telling me she has lived a wonderful 72 years with no regrets & if it is her time to go she's ready. But my prayers are a little different -I guess I'm selfish in that sense. If it's the Lord's will we will beat this & learn something from it. There is alot of people praying for us. In the end she's either gonna be in complete remission or the Lord will call her home. It's the road in between that scares me. (those words make me sound brave, who am I kidding) Keep us in your prayers. Thanks to you all! Tina | | |

I am sorry your family is going through this right now but Praise Him for being in the midst. The journey may be rough but He will carry each of you when you ask. Don't be too hesitant to ask...He has big arms!
You are the true Saint, taking on the responsibility of learning all you can to help your mother. There is no greater bond in humans than a mother and her child. She sounds so blessed to have all of you and it is also a blessing you were raised in a Christian home.
I will be praying for wisdom and guidance for the medical team to find the best possible course of action for you mother.
YBIC,
Ed
