Hi Shortconnery, well you are missing some great new beers here, though Deuchars is still going strong. Edinburgh roads have been blighted by roadworks since 2007 and still no trams running yet! What a fiasco. Sally
Dx 10/11 51yrs LBOT Stage 4 2nodes HPV16+. Non-smoker mod alcohol.
10/11 Induction chemox2 (Docetaxel, 5-Flu, Cisplatin) then Cisplatinx2 IMRTx30. Ended 01/13/12.
12/07/11 RIG. RIG removed 05/05/12.
4/12 CT scan clear. Visual scope checks clear as of 10/13. Learning to live with eating challenges.

The next day my ENT took a look and said neck and throat look good, but I want to sample a small pimple on Floor of mouth. He said is probably nothing but he is going to sample anything and everything he sees. He numbed it up and cut it out. Its less than a mm. ARGH........ Results Tuesday'ish.
I do have pain when I push up under my chin on the left/cancer side. The pain has been there every since treatment. The pain is sometimes more sometimes less. Now its the only pain remaining so its the worst one. It feels better when I strech it, so I strech is all the time. I also had the lymph node removed on that side. I can't tell what it is.
Any of you fellow BOT'er seen this.

I have had more biopsies than I can count, and yes, I worry like crazy about every single one of them, but each time they take one I am very pleased that they did. I would much rather be safe than sorry.
So worry if you must (it won't help a dang thing) but more than anything give thanks for a great doctor. Cancer caught early has options, and your doctor is making sure you are in that position.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

It is the only pain I have too now and I can get it give me an ouchie if I make a big yawn as that is stretching those muscles/tissues back under there. I am wondering if it just happens to be an area where they loaded on the radiation rays and that it is still healing or if scarred does that allow pain? Just curious too.
