It may be because they can look good, and sound good, but the body is still in a state of rebuilding. When my son completed Tx he was out of a job but kept doing phone interviews, networking and applying everywhere, but several weeks went by before he found a job and started working half days. He told me at the time, he never could have made it even part-time if he had found a job any sooner. Would it be possible for your husband's doctor to write a letter explaining the reality of recovery and suggesting a slower return to work? It may take off some of the work pressure.
